Uhhhhhhhh... Time for a devlog!
Something, something time flies, and yadda yadda. Something, something super upbeat starting point to showcase my boundless positivity.
Aaaaaand BOOM the perfect introduction! Now, let’s get to it, huh??
Right off the bat, lemme fill y’all on a major development! We’ve done a little rescheduling. By which, I mean we decided to take a page from our original playbook and release the next three episodes of NOVEL:
>Rupert's Rampage
>Weekend at X
>86'd
as one giant release instead of three little ones. Obviously, that pushes back the release date of everything, buuuut it also means you get a LOT of content when we do release it.
Sooooooo yeah! Love it or hate it, them’s the breaks, baby!
In less major news...
We've opted to shift our animation focus away from just single segments, in favor of making things more dynamic as a whole throughout the game. Makes things... alive, ya' know?
Anywho, now that we’ve got all that out of the way, let’s get into specifics for the current work cycle.
Art
Soul is working on a few CGs (and one BG) for Rupert’s Rampage as we speak. It’s coming along well and things are looking good in the art department.
Music
Stuff is moving right along in this department. Rodrick has been working hard on several new songs lately everything from episode specifics to environmental / ambience tracks. (You heard the first of the new tracks in the intro we posted last time)
Writing
I’ve been more than a little busy with real-life stuff recently (devs have lives?? I know, I know… scandelous~.), but I’ve been chipping away at the script(s) in my spare time and it’s all coming along pretty well, if not a bit slower than I’d like, but it is what it is!
News from the Matri—Programming stuff!
Irrelevant has been going back through the previous episodes and adding some different little features that really improve the aesthetic and smoothen things out (even more than they already were) as we continue working on stuff.
I think that’s about all there is to everything at the moment. We really just wanted to take a sec to make y’all aware of the new release plan.
...
But while we’re here, we may as well talk a little about Canterlot Exchange as well.
The dev team has done a little rearranging since last time we talked about it and new artists have stepped into the character (Miscontoku) and background (TobiTobi90) artist roles for Canterlot Exchange and we’ve gotten a good bit ironed out.
I figure this is as good a time as any to give y’all a first look at stuff and acquaint you with some of the characters!

i am excited for the mlp game.
Just wanted to say I member an MLP game that got copy striked cause they had the original names It prob will happen to yours to that's all I wanted to say :3
