Operation NOVEL: Season 1
A Very Valentines Devlog!
Hey, everyone. We just wanted to take a minute here to keep y’all in the loop with what’s going on. So… let’s get into it!
First and foremost: Valentine’s Day!
This Valentine’s Day, we’re releasing the final FINAL version of Season One. We saw your critiques from the last release, took them into consideration, and put together a new(er) build.
Neat, right?
Here’s what’s new in this version:
- Multiple new CGs.
- A new unlocks sections for 'Comics and Concepts'.
- New recordings.
- Updated programming to stop stuff from breaking.
- A few little story additions.
- More references to the cartoons that keep me sane.
Sound good? Sound better? Sound like you can stop emailing me photoshopped pictures of me in a casket?

Aaaaanyway...
After the Valentine’s release, we’ll be back with the first episode of Season 2 pretty soon. So, there’s plenty to look forward to.
“But Diiiiiiive! I want it now!”
Believe me, my man, so do I. But life only gives us so much time, and we needed to get this fixed version of Season One out first. We’re taking our time with Season 2 to make sure it’s the best it can be (and avoid having to put out 50 different patches to fix stuff).
That’s all for now! The test group will be running through the new build this week to help us track down and eliminate any bugs. Once that’s done, we’ll be uploading it on Valentine’s Day (night).

Soo its been 3 days since Valentines and the update hasnt come out yet. Whats going on?
They gave an update in the replies to the main page. Kinda wish they made a normal post just explaining that there would be an unforeseen delay, but is what it is
Sooo... Is that whole "final season 1 version" of the game available now? Like, in the download page it says that the game was last updated 41 days ago and when I download it, I see no new CGs in the gallery.
While I'm happy a new update is coming out so soon after the last one, I'm sad that it's because a bunch of dudes who don't understand how hard coding a video game actually is complained about it.
Ehhh. It’s more that we felt we could do better. Lol

I didn't mind the last one just confused at first sense I thought it was the next season update but it was still a good update.
I really hope the comments from the last update didn't crush too much spirit from you all. I've been patient cause the whole of operation N.O.V.E.L. has been amazing and I know amazing work can take time. I'm ecstatict to see the future of these great ommage to KND! Also Happy valentines day.
