A year ago yesterday we did our very first public release. Crazy, right? Time flies when you’re having fun.

With that being the case, we thought it would be nice to go ahead and do our monthly devlog today and get y’all up to speed on everything.

So… yeah!

Art

First and foremost, all the character models for the main cast (and Henrietta) are done. Soul knocked it out of the park and we’re stoked with how well everything turned out.

Now that that’s done we’ve moved on to the new episode’s assets. As of now, we have WIPs for all the new backgrounds in place and Soul is working on CGs. This episode’s setting being a good bit different from the previous episodes has made settling the backgrounds interesting. Fun though! It’s nice to get out of the treehouse now and then.

Music

Rodrick is working on the new music for the new album for the episode and everything is going smoothly with that. I’m, uh… not sure what else to say on that subject.

Writing

I mean, I’m having a blast. I get to introduce y’all to so many new characters this episode and show y’all the characters you already know a little more in-depth. And for someone that loooooves character interactions as much as I do, that’s a good time.

The Borg Collective PROGRAMMING

Irrelevant has been messing with some new effects, tweaking the music player a bit, messing with things throughout the game, fixing any bugs or problems that have been reported, and keeping things running smoothly.

We’re getting some pretty positive feedback from our test group on the new episode so far and we’re feeling pretty good about progress.
