Summertime Setbacks
So first and foremost let’s talk about the new episode. After reviewing a few things, we’ve found that it would be beneficial to push back the release a little bit ( I know, I know. Booo!) so as not to cause strain on the team. This bit of extra time will allow us to refine things a bit more as it will allow our test group (and us) to do a more in-depth comb through of things and allow the team to balance their NOVEL work with their other projects.
In the meantime, while we’re getting a release date finalized, we thought it would probably be a good idea to fill you guys in on the development so far. With that being said, let’s give things a quick rundown:
Art Assets
We’ve finished setting up character models, and now we're wrapping up the last couple of backgrounds. After that, we’ll be starting up the CG work, which would wrap things up. Secondary art assets are also well underway, which includes some sprites and whatnot to help with the experience.
Animations
The animations are also steadily underway. Storyboarding is done, so now we’re in the process of working on style frames and coloring.
Music
As far as music goes, we have about 3 tracks left to wrap up which will be available in the in-game music player as well as Rodrick’s Bandcamp.
Bug Fixes and Adjustments
After reviewing the feedback you guys have left us (thanks for that) we’ve made a few adjustments to the game. Some of these include:
- Updated font for the menu UI
- Reworked portrait frames for textboxes
- Resolved an issue that resulted in flickering portraits during screen transitions.
- Various changes on the Android build to better account for mobile devices
So…yeah! That’s about the gist of things so far. We’re looking forward to y’all getting to play through the new episode and hearing your thoughts on everything. We’ll be getting another progress report out for you guys soon to keep you in the loop on how things are progressing.
Oh! I almost forgot! We’ll also be adding an animation gallery to the extras with the new episode so you guys can actually look through the animations without having to dig through the files. As always if you have any questions about anything, feel free to stop by the discord server’s QnA channel. We’re usually pretty wide open to questions provided they won’t cause a spoiler or anything.

Is there an approximation for the release date yet? I can understand if it's a bit too soon. Either way, I wish you guys good luck on your endeavors!
Thanks for the update. As disappointed as I am with the delay, I am twice as excited for the work and care you are putting into the whole project. I'd rather you take the time to put out a great finished update than so-so quick release. Love the VN so far folks, I'm sure the anticipation will be worth the wait.
Thanks for that, boss!
